The predecessor of the law firm as it exists today was founded in 1962. Since the year 2000 the law firm has been professionally active under the name of "HOFSTETTER, SCHURACK & SKORA". The branches of the office are situated in Munich and Landshut.
The field of professional activity of the law firm is that of Intellectual Property. This comprises the preparation, filing and defending of German, European and international patents, German utility models as well as national and international trademarks and designs. Also we assist our clients in the preparation of license and know-how contracts.
The partnership assumes representation in patent and trademark matters before the German Patent and Trademark Office, the European Patent Office, the Office for the Harmonization of the Internal Market and before the World Intellectual Property Organization (trademarks, designs, models) and is widely experienced in the representation of clients before these offices. This also comprises appeals before the Appeal Board of the European Patent Office and the German Federal Patent Court as well as oppositions in patent matters, trademark oppositions, cancellation and nullity proceedings etc.
Various experts offer the client a broad range of technical expertise in the areas of physics, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, aerospace technology, information technology, chemistry, biotechnology and medicine.
In addition the law firm also conducts litigation in the field of Intellectual Property including copyright before German courts.
