Alexandra Maier studied Electrical and Computer Engineering at the Technical University of Munich (TUM) with a focus on nanoelectronics and life science.

In the bachelor thesis, Alexandra Maier supported the development of the “Wildretter”, a research project funded by the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture to localise fawns during grassland mowing. The objective of the thesis was the optimisation of the update rate of a RFID localisation system.

In the master thesis, she developed organic thin-film transistors based on random carbon nanotube networks. Here, she evaluated the transistors response with regard to gas molecule detection in ambient conditions.

During her studies, Alexandra Maier was employed at different electrical engineering companies in the field of research and development. She contributed for example at the development of flight simulators for pilot training. Furthermore, she designed the lab course “energy harvester” at the TUM chair of nanoelectronics.

In early 2017 Alexandra Maier joined Hofstetter, Schurack & Partner in the field of intellectual property rights.

She speaks German, English and French.
