Alina Bischoff studied physics focussing on environmental physics at Heidelberg University. Within her Bachelor thesis, she analysed the distribution of certain micro structures, so called sub-grain boundaries, in ice core images by means of digital image processing. She wrote her Master thesis in the field of physical limnology, the physics of layering and transport processes in lakes, on a measurement technique for the determination of the concentration of the noble gas radon in lake water.

After graduation, Ms Bischoff worked as a research assistant at the Leibniz institute for surface modification in Leipzig for three years. Her research was focused on mechanical properties of iron palladium (Fe₇Pd₃) magnetic shape memory alloy thin films. The results of this work were published in several articles in international scientific journals.

In 2017, Alina Bischoff joined Hofstetter, Schurack & Partner in the field of intellectual property rights.

Ms. Bischoff speaks German, English and French.
