In her diploma thesis she was concerned with the calculation of the speed of sound of Bogoliubov excitations in disordered Bose-Einstein condensates. The results of this work were published in the article „Speed of sound in disordered Bose-Einstein condensates“, Phys. Rev. A 80 053620 (2009), further selected for the „Virtual Journal of Atomic Quantum Fluids“.

Since 2011 Ms. von Lani-Fischer has been working in the field of intellectual property protection with Hofstetter, Schurack & Partner. She was admitted as representative before the European Patent Office in 2016.
