Dr. Eduard Schurack studied electrical engineering at the Technical University Munich with a focus on cybernetics and telecommunications. He completed his studies at the Institute for Telecommunications at the University of the Federal Armed Forces Munich with a thesis in the field of telecommunication circuits with the title “Non-linear frequency-dependent thermal power feedback in band-pass transistor amplifiers for higher frequencies: Analysis of effects and compensation of the feedback”. In this connection he also wrote numerous publications and conference papers and filed several patent applications.

In 1994 Dr. Schurack started his career in intellectual property law. In 1997 he was admitted as German Patent Attorney and registered at the Office for the Harmonization of the Internal Market (OHIM). Since 1998 he has also been admitted as representative before the European Patent Office. He is member of the German and European Patent Bar, FICPI, ECTA, and GRUR.

The focus of Dr. Schurack’s practice is on the prosecution and enforcement of intellectual property rights, in particular patents and utility models, nationally and internationally. He specialises in electrical engineering and electronics, particularly in lighting and illumination technology, as well as in automobile electronics and in the area of software inventions.

Dr. Schurack speaks German and English.
