Nils Dimmler holds a diploma degree in mechanical engineering with an emphasis on vehicle engineering, control engineering and engine technology from Technical University Munich. His diploma thesis dealt with the launch of a novel measuring system for friction measurement in a single cylinder research engine aiming at the reduction of mechanical losses which he conducted as part of a research project run by a German automotive manufacturer.

Besides the classic fields of drive technology such as engines and gear drives, his studies were also concerned with mechatronical applications for linking the mechanical design with information technology. Mr. Dimmler’s work involved the development, integration and adaptation of a man-machine interface in a cognitive automobile capable of tracing entirely autonomously a predeterminable route and of responding to a wide variety of traffic situations. A further aspect of his studies concerned simulation technology, in particular with regard to the simulation of driving dynamics of motor vehicles.

After completion of his degree he started working with the partnership Hofstetter, Schurack & Partner in 2008.

He speaks German and English.
